| Roll forming as one of an advance rotary forming process has so many economical and technical advantages, such as lower load, process automation, near net shape forming. It is a significant machinery industry technology innovation to roll forming disks which were one of the important basic parts to bear loads. The roll forming process employs two pairs of small opposed rollers and a roller radially outward on the workpiece to shape a cake workpiece into a complex axisymmetric disk and the research status were presentation. The disk rolling process using the revamped radial-axial ring rolling mill has been developed from the radial-axial ring rolling process and research situation were introduced. Disk roll forming process as one of a flexible net shape parts manufacturing technology has the extremely attractive prospects, it is a developing orientation in future manufacturing industry. |
